Walk into Rao’s inside of the Ceasar’s Palace Hotel in Las Vegas and you feel like you have died and gone to Italian Heaven. The red and white decor and the endless bottles of their jarred Rao’s sauce which line my pantry shelves at home, take you into pasta heaven.

The decor is festive and welcoming while a beautiful bar is the showcase of the restaurant.

It is no small feat to serve up classic Italian food with flavor that is both comforting and memorable. This is true to your tastebuds Italian that will leave you feeling every bit as satisfied as you’re imagining.

Raos Restaurant

Style: The restaurant draws a diverse crowd, no doubt. (After all, it is Las Vegas.) But after the early diners in shorts and more casual attired waned, the younger hip evening diners were dressed in Saturday night fashion. Women were in dresses clearly destined for a long night out and men were in button down shirts.

The service was prompt and courteous and able to meet our special food allergy requests. While food is not necessarily served family style, portions are generous enough to be shared.

Dishes we loved: Antipasto salad, Bruschetta, Roasted Beet Salad, Angel Hair and Marinara, Ceasar Salad and of course the Meatballs.

MUST have signature dish on the menu:
Steak Pizzaiola

WE RECOMMEND:
LVRW2012

August 27th to September 2nd 2012 brings out creative menus, discerning palettes and a full blown eating spree during Las Vegas Restaurant Week all for charity.

Via helpoutdineoutlv.org/about:
Now in its sixth year, Las Vegas Restaurant Week gives restaurants in our community the opportunity to give back through the culinary arts. We are proud to report that since 2006 over 1.5 million meals have been provided for those in need through Restaurant Week. Today, Three Square feeds nearly 100,000 men, women, children and seniors each month, however the need is estimated at three times our current reach. By joining us for Las Vegas Restaurant Week, you are helping us get closer to our goal of feeding the 300,000 people in need in Southern Nevada. All proceeds from Restaurant Week remain in Las Vegas and help Three Square in its fight to end hunger in Southern Nevada.
