Oscar's Coming

I love movies. If I had to pick one thing that I had to do every day for the rest of my life, it would be watch a movie. Everyday is a perfect movie day to me. Whether it's cold and rainy out or bright and sunny, there is no place I would rather be than soaking up the creativity of Hollywood.
Sunday night I will be glue to the television watching who wins, who they thank, and what they are wearing.
I have just a few hopes:
• That 'Milk' wins best movie, although it is almost a sure thing 'Slumdog Millionaire' will take it.
• That Kate Winslet takes best actress. Forget that I haven't even seen 'The Reader' yet and I loved Anne Hathaway in 'Rachel Getting Married,' how many more times can Kate Winslet be nominated without winning? She deserves this!
• That Sean Penn takes best actor for 'Milk,' although I equally want Frank Langella to win for 'Frost/Nixon.' I'm so torn there!
• That Danny Boyle wins for best director on 'Slumdog Millionaire.' The movie is a phenomenal piece of art.
• That Penelope Cruz wins best supporting actress for her role in 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona.' I could not have loved her character and performance more!
But mostly I hope that there is an element of uncertainty to the evening because although I am often rooting for the favorites, I prefer a surprise twist in the end.
