Steve Aoki: DJ / Producer and Label Owner of Dim Mak Records

“Welcome to Wonderland,” blasts through the speakers and the crowd goes wild. Steve Aoki is among the most popular techno DJs touring today. He is in Miami Beach tonight, Orlando tomorrow (August 30th), Las Vegas on August 31st, New York on September 1st at the Electric Zoo 2012, Chicago on September 2nd, then takes his tour to Europe. (See his full tour schedule here.) His aggressive schedule speaks to the demand for him to be everywhere.

Steve Aoki’s most recent album “Wonderland” (available on iTunes
here) features popular songs “No Beef (feat. Miss Palmer)” by Steve Aoki and Afrojack, “Turbulence,” “Ladi Dadi (feat Wynter Gordon),” “Livin’ My Love (feat LMFAO & NERVO),” and “Cudi the Kid (feat Kid Cudi & Travis Barker).” “No Beef” has been Steve Aoki’s most successful song on the charts to date; it hit number 25, on the UK Singles Top 75, and stayed there for 1 week. (via acharts.us) The album was released in January of 2012 and features: LMFAO, Kid Cudi, Travis Barker, Will.I.AM aka Zuper Blahq, Wynter Gordon, River Cuomo, Lil Jon, Chiddy Bang, Lovefoxxx of CSS, and Big John.

Aoki’s show has become a crowd favorite at music festivals. At the #SSMF Sunset Strip Music Festival (August 18, 2012) Aoki, wearing his “Let Them Eat Cake” tee-shirt sprayed his crowd down, showered them with confetti, threw out an inflated air-mattress for comfy crowd surfing, and dove into a super sized cake. Steve Aoki brought on cameo appearances from Lil Jon, Miss Palmer, Will.I.AM AKA Zuper Blahq, Travis Barker, Army of the Universe and lit up the music festival.

A backer of Rock the Vote, Aoki made a recent appearance at the RNC convention but tweeted that his is officially an Obama supporter.

Life of a Rock Star™ loves the charitable side to Aoki. Via
The Creative Visions Foundation, Aoki has set up a fun to which his fans can donate called “The Steve Aoki Fund.” (Donate here.) The fund’s purpose is to support relief organizations.

Each year a new crisis arises, and there is always a need for humanitarian relief around the world. Steve Aoki will use his global influence to raise money for relief organizations dealing with these issues through money raised at his own touring events, memorabilia auctions and partnerships with like minded artists.  Traditionally Steve has been involved in various social organizations, including as a spokesperson for Peta2 as well as a supporter of Music for Relief.  Moving forward, he will take these issues into his own hands and directly support those affecting change when crises arise.” via creativevisions.org

What a day! From 2:00PM until 2AM, the Sunset strip was rocking! Closed off between Doheny and San Vincente, Sunset was the hottest spot in LA this weekend.

One club and stage after another was filled with talent killing it. It was difficult to choose which shows to catch.

The Sunset Strip Music Festival does a phenomenal job of creating a high energy concert feel while bringing the fan up close and personal with his or her favorite musicians and bands.

Venues for the event included
The Key Club, The Roxy, Whiskey A Go - Go as well as outdoor stages sponsored by Monster Energy and 98-7FM. READ MORE
