September 25, 2012 UPDATE: Mumford & Sons album available now on iTunes

A band out of London, Mumford & Sons formed itself organically in 2007. One sound built upon another as band members worked together to realize the full potential of their songs. Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall, and Ted Dwane came together to form a sound that music lovers adore.

In the beginning there were “last minute street-side jamming sessions,” and as word of mouth spread about the band there were shows in small venues packed into the rafters. (via MumfordandSons.com/biography)

They released the album “Sigh No More” in 2009 and the quality of their music spread it like wildfire and grew their fan base even more with touring and playing music festivals.

Throughout India, America, Australia, and Europe Mumford & Sons showcased their British folk sound sending their “Sigh No More” album sales through the roof. In January of 2012, BBC News reported that in 2011, “
Mumford and Sons sold 1.4m copies of their album, Sigh No More.” Sigh No More has been on the Billboard Folk Albums Chart for one hundred and twenty-nine (129) weeks. It is currently at No. 3. It was No. 2 last week and peaked at No. 1.

Mumford & Sons has released one song, “I Will Wait,” from their much anticipated new album Babel. If it is any indicator of how the rest of the album will sound, Babel is going to far exceed the success of “Sigh No More.”

The sincere sound of Mumford & Sons is heartfelt and the song “I Will Wait” will resonate with that romantic part of you that knows that sometimes there are people worth waiting for…

Lyrics “I Will Wait” by Mumford & Sons (via
lybio.net)

Well I came home Like a stone And I fell Heavy into your arms These days of dust, Wish we would’ve known, Will blow away with this new sun
But I’ll kneel down, wait for now I’ll kneel down, know my ground
I will wait, I wait wait for you And I will wait, I wait wait for you

So bring my step And relent, you forgave and I wont forget Know what we’ve seen And him with less knowing some way to shake the excess

I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you

Now I’ll be bold, as well as strong And use my head, along side my heart So tame my flesh and fix my eyes a tethered mind freed from the lies
But I’ll kneel down, wait for now I’ll kneel down, know my ground
Raise my hands Paint my spirit gold Bow my head, feel my heart slow

I will wait, I wait wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you
