Rock Star Votes for Romney

Musicians tend to sway towards the Democratic candidates, but Life of a Rock Star is keeping track of which musicians are swayed by the Republican agenda this 2012 presidential election.

Who is voting for Mitt Romney?

Gene Simmons, KIIS says he regrets voting for Obama and will be voting for Romney this time around. Simmons, “Everything depends on the landscape...Americans smartly--and I applaud them for doing so--vote on the issues and not the party. ...In retrospect hindsight is 20/20, I have some real issues with the economy and how it’s being done. ...America should be in business and it should be run by businessmen, that’s my philosophy.”

Mitt Romney and Kid Rock

Kid Rock showed his support for Mitt Romney in a fundraiser this past February. “He'd written down some questions for me,” Romney said before the singer took the stage. “He said first of all, he said, 'Mitt, if you're elected president, will you help me help the state of Michigan?' And I said I would." The next day, Kid Rock emailed him to say he was in. --via New York Daily News

Before endorsing Romney, “Nugent demanded that Romney pledge there would be no new gun laws or restrictions on Second Amendment rights in his administration. Romney obliged. Nugent also warned Romney about the "out of control" U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

“Nugent said "America is in a suicidal tailspin" but he decided Romney has the "best shot at bringing the U.S. Constitution, common sense, and the American way back to the White House."

“Nugent tweeted his endorsement on March 2 (sic):

“The entertainer and former teen heartthrob has given $2,500 to Romney’s campaign, according to an FEC filing. Osmond, like Romney, is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It appears to be the first time he’s cut a big check to a presidential contender.” (Story via politico.com)

Also a Romney supporter is Country Music Star Trace Adkins. “I want to be able to whole-heartedly support the nominee... It's going to be Mitt Romney and I'm going to support him 100%.” via aboutmittromney.com/celebrities
