Song of the Week goes to a band who has come back together to put out their third album, hence the title of the album "lll." Shiny Toy Guns and their lead singer Carah Faye and are poised to take over the charts with "Waiting Alone." But "Waiting Alone" is just one of a few instant hits on the album. Life of a Rock Star also loves: "Somewhere To Hide" and "Take Me Back To Where I Was."
The sound of the album is alternative but it also goes the direction of electro with pop tendencies.
Carrie Faye's voice is reminiscent of Terri Nunn of Berlin. Think "No More Words" or "Take My Breath Away," and she delivers "Waiting Alone" with the same rock star power.

Note: The audio is flawed due to the recording device. The band sounded fantastic and even with the muffled sound, you can still hear how crystal clear and gorgeous Carah Faye's voice sounds. Shiny Toy Guns rocked the House of Rock and made it a stellar event.
