June 14, 2015—Malibu, CA—ROWAN BLANCHARD the star of Disney’s GIRL MEETS WORLD attended Children Mending Hearts 7th annual fund raiser benefit “Empathy Rocks” to show her support for the charity that awarded Zendaya (recently featured in Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video as character Cut Throat) with the Empathy Rockstar Award.

Rowan Blanchard talked with Life of a Rockstar’s Nicole Hanratty on the red carpet about her summer vacation plans that include filming Girl Meets World, visiting Harry Potter World, her love of Hermione and speaking at the UN Women conference on gender inequality in youths. In this exclusive interview with LOAR, BLANCHARD says of her feelings on gender inequality, “We should support all of us no matter what gender we are.”

Watch the ROWAN BLANCHARD INTERVIEW below and see her talk about her personal music favorites that include Ed Sheeran, Ryn Weaver, Banks, and BØRNS.

Rowan Blanchard plays the daughter of “Topanga” played by Danielle Fishel and “Cory” played by Ben Savage. Her lead character in Girl Meets World produces one tear jerking episode after the next. Episodes send out strong moral messages such as to enjoy youth and not rush dating, own your own faults even if it’s with a Sharpie to the forehead, and to appreciate the hard work of those we often take for granted including cafeteria workers and school janitors. Blanchard’s character embraces teenage awkwardness and is nothing but lovable in Girl Meets World—just as she is on the red carpet—in this pre-teen comedy that also stars her on screen best friends Sabrina Carpenter, Corey Fogelmanis, and Peyton Meyer.
