If you have a hungry husband and are looking for cooking inspiration for a hearty winter meal to satisfy his appetite, then Hungry Husband Pasta is your answer to, “What’s for dinner tonight?” This a great easy recipe that is easy to throw together.

2 pounds ground beef
1 onion chopped
2 garlic cloves – minced
1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 12 oz. package of corkscrew pasta
1 16 oz. container of sour cream
1 8 oz. package cream cheese – softened
1 bunch of green onions – chopped – greens and all
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Brown the beef, onion and garlic in a Dutch oven. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, and salt. Simmer for 30 minutes, uncovered.
Cook pasta according to package directions – drain.
Spread pasta in a greased 13” X 9” baking dish.
Stir together sour cream, cream cheese, and green onions. Mix well. Spread over pasta already in the dish.
Pour prepared meat sauce on top.
Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until bubbly – sprinkle with cheddar cheese and cook for 5 more minutes.
Remove from oven and let stand at least 10 minutes before serving.
This recipe is a bit different but the flavors come together in this casserole to make one of those dishes that no one can stop eating because it tastes so good!!!
