Post: December 27, 2012Lexo The Great along with Andre Legacy opened for Mickey Avalon at Saint Rocke Saturday, December 22nd with beats that define the direction music is going: Dubstep. Pour equal parts Zedd and Pitbull into a cocktail shaker, add the unique flavor of Lexo’s Bolivian / Mexican roots and Lexo The Great pours out nicely. This talented rapper combines his electro beats to design a genre that is all is own.
How did Lexo The Great get the gig opening for the street born hard hitting lyricist Mickey Avalon? Mickey saw Lexo The Great open for him one night at a club in Malibu. After the set, Mickey approached Lexo and spoke with him about his current role in music and touring. (Lexo growing up in Santa Barbara County also played a role in the initial connection as Lexo has know Mickey’s wife Minnie Avalon for some time.) Mickey saw the drive and passion inside of a guy pushing his way up. They have been hitting the road together since October of 2011.
The most recent EP Lexo dropped “Selective Hearing” contains his standout song “Taylor Swift feat. MOI of Tomorrows Badseeds,” and yes, he has a huge crush on the country pop star. He blushes when you mention her name and reveals an innocent side to himself that could be easily overlooked if you measured him by his lyrics alone. More highlights include “Pressure,” “Gemini,” and “Further.” Lexo’s most popular dance song, “No Tomorrow feat. Sydney Barlette (Playmate)” is yet to be released and is a crowd favorite.

A college graduate with a mind that is geared towards business, Lexo The Great is working hard appearing at the Coachella and SXSW music festivals as well in the popular clubs to get his music heard. He is a regular in the hottest Las Vegas clubs and has multiple sponsorships that include Jägermeister and Converse.
While one of Lexo The Great’s fun popular songs is “Let The Panties Drop,” this rapper–who can get his crowd moving–has a family loving side to him that is nothing short of admirable. He talks about how happy it makes him when his mom comes out to support his shows and that she is usually the one cheering the loudest in the crowd. Lexo says when he points her out to his fans they cheer her on even more.
